Preliminary Procedure

  1. Remove the rear fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement (Cadillac)
  2. Place the bumper fascia face down on a clean protected surface.
  3. Remove the left rear fog lamp. Refer to Rear Fog Lamp Replacement (Cadillac)
1 Rear Bumper Fascia Lower Screw (Qty: 6)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
2 Rear Closure Hands Free Sensor - Lower
Procedure 
Disengage the wire at the connector, disengage opposite end, then pull back on each tab, and apply slight force on sensor to push the sensor out of the tabs and remove.
3 Rear Closure Hands Free Sensor - Upper

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  2. Reposition the upper fascia center structure for access to the upper sensor.
  3. Remove the sensor out from between the rear bumper fascia and the rear bumper fascia structure.
