2019 Chevrolet Tahoe LS, 4WD, Gas/EthanolSECTION Removal Procedure
    NOTE:

    When performing this procedure the latch and handle bracket assembly Must be removed from the vehicle to replace the door lock cylinder assembly.

  1. Remove the front side door latch and door outside handle bracket assembly as one from the door. Refer to Front Side Door Latch ReplacementΒ .

    NOTE:

    Its not necessary to disconnect the inside or outside handle cables to replace the door lock cylinder.

    Disconnect the front side door lock cylinder rod (1) from the lock cylinder.

  3. Loosen the front side door outside handle lock cylinder screw.

    From the back side of the outside handle bracket, use a suitable tool, push outward on the lock cylinder retainer (1) releasing the retainer from the lock cylinder (2).

    With the lock cylinder retainer (1) removed, pull the lock cylinder (2) rearward releasing it from the handle bracket (3).
