- Flush the A/C system. Flushing will remove all the oil from the A/C system. FlushingΒ
- Remove the A/C compressor from the vehicle. Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (L82, L84, L87)Β , or Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LV3)Β , or Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (L3B)Β
The A/C system must be replenished with proper amount of refrigerant oil. Approximate Fluid Capacities
NOTE:- The refrigerant oil in the A/C system must be balanced during compressor replacement.
- The new service compressor is shipped with 40 ml (1.4 oz) of refrigerant oil. Do not drain the oil from the compressor.
- Before installing the compressor, deduct the amount of oil shipped with the compressor 40 ml (1.4 oz) from the total amount of the system oil. Approximate Fluid Capacities
- Add the calculated amount of oil to the A/C compressor or by filling the A/C system using GE-45037Β A/C Oil Injector.
