2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 SSV, 4WD, GasSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 L3B) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static L3B)
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Without KL9) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With KL9)

    Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  4. Lift up on the front of the intake manifold cover (2).

    Intake Manifold Cover (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Remove

    Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Nut (1) - Remove [2x]

  7. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube (2) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting ServiceΒ 
  8. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (3) - Loosen

    Disconnect the purge solenoid valve electrical connector.

  10. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (1) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting ServiceΒ 
  11. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (2) - Loosen

  18. Intake Air Duct (2) - Reposition
  19. Remove wiring harness from air cleaner assembly.
  20. Disconnect the mass airflow sensor electrical connector.

    Air Cleaner Nut (1) - Remove

    Retainer Spring (1) - Release

  32. Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose (2) - Remove
  33. Front Wheelhouse Liner-Left Side (3) - Remove - Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement

    Electrical Connector (1) - Disconnect

  35. Battery Positive Cable Nut (3) @ Generator - Remove
  36. Starter Solenoid Cable (2) - Remove
  37. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.

    Use a suitable tool to rotate the drive belt tensioner (1) counterclockwise to relieve tension from the drive belt (2).

  39. Remove the drive belt (2) from the pulleys and tensioner (1).
  40. Slowly release tension on the drive belt tensioner (1).
  41. Clean and inspect the drive belt surfaces of all the pulleys.
