  1. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Verify the following procedure was performed: Inspection/Maintenance System Check .
    • If the procedure was not performed 

      Refer to Inspection/Maintenance System Check .

    • If the procedure was performed 
      NOTE: Do NOT skip any step before the DTC status is complete, otherwise the process must be repeated.
  3. Verify the scan tool parameter: Cold Start-Up = Yes
    • If not the specified state 

      Ignition/Vehicle - Off - For greater than 8 h & Repeat this step

    • If the specified state 
  4. Verify the scan tool parameter: EVAP Monitor - Since DTCs Cleared = Complete
    • If not the specified state 
      1. Perform the following procedure/test: Evaporative Emission System Diagnosis 
      2. Verify the scan tool parameter: EVAP Monitor - Since DTCs Cleared = Complete
        • If not the specified state - Repeat the procedure starting at step
        • If the specified state
      3. Refer to the next step
        • If the specified state 
  5. Ignition/Vehicle - Off - For greater than 8 h
  6. Verify the scan tool parameter: Cold Start-Up = Yes
    • If not the specified state 

      Ignition/Vehicle » Off - For greater than 8 h & Repeat this step

    • If the specified state 
  7. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode - For 1 min
  8. Engine - Idling - For 2 min
