2019 Chevrolet Express 2500 Base, Van Cargo Extended, 6.0L Eng VIN GSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Prepare the brake caliper bracket bolts and the bracket threaded holes for assembly:
    • Remove all traces of the adhesive patch from the bolt and the mating threads using the appropriate tools.
    • Thoroughly clean the residue from the bolt threads by using denatured alcohol or equivalent and allow to dry.
    • Apply threadlocker to 2/3 of the threaded length of the bolts. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and SealersΒ

    Brake Caliper(1) - Install

    Brake Caliper Guide Pin Bolt(1) - Install and tighten[2x] - Front Brake Caliper Guide Pin Replacement (JH6)Β Front Brake Caliper Guide Pin Replacement (JH9)Β 

  4. Remove the caps from the brake caliper and the brake hose.

    NOTE:

    Install NEW brake hose fitting gaskets.

    Brake Hose Fitting Gasket(1)@Brake Hose Fitting (2) - Install NEW[2x]

    Brake Hose Fitting Bolt(1) - Install and tighten Front Brake Hose Replacement

  7. Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure)Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual)
  8. Install the front tire and wheel assemblies. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without Dual Rear Wheels)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With Dual Rear Wheels)
  9. Lower the vehicle.
