2019 Chevrolet Express 2500 Base, Van Cargo Extended, 6.0L Eng VIN GSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Lubricate the front brake caliper bushings, bolts and seals with high temperature silicone brake lubricant. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and SealersΒ

    Brake Caliper Guide Pin Bushing (1) - Install NEW[2x]

    Brake Caliper Guide Pin Bolt(1) - Install and tighten[2x] - Front Brake Caliper Guide Pin Replacement (JH6)Β Front Brake Caliper Guide Pin Replacement (JH9)Β 

  6. Install the front tire and wheel assemblies. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without Dual Rear Wheels)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With Dual Rear Wheels)
  7. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  8. With the engine OFF, gradually apply the brake pedal to approximately 2/3 of its travel distance.
  9. Slowly release the brake pedal.
  10. Wait 15 seconds, then repeat steps 8 and 9 until a firm brake pedal is obtained. This will properly seat the brake caliper pistons and brake pads.
