- Prepare the brake caliper guide pin bolts and the bracket threaded holes for assembly:
- Remove all traces of the adhesive patch from the bolt and the mating threads using the appropriate tools.
- Thoroughly clean the residue from the bolt threads by using denatured alcohol or equivalent and allow to dry.
- Apply threadlocker to 2/3 of the threaded length of the bolts. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and SealersΒ
- CAUTION:
Brake Caliper Guide Pin Bolt(1) - Install and tighten[2x]107.5 N.m (79 lb ft)
- Install the front tire and wheel assemblies. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Without Dual Rear Wheels)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With Dual Rear Wheels)
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- With the engine OFF, gradually apply the brake pedal to approximately 2/3 of its travel distance.
- Slowly release the brake pedal.
- Wait 15 seconds, then repeat steps 5 and 6 until a firm brake pedal is obtained. This will properly seat the brake caliper pistons and brake pads.
