2019 Chevrolet Express 2500 Base, Van Cargo Extended, 6.0L Eng VIN GSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Clean and inspect the fuel injector prior to reinstalling it. Fuel Injector Cleaning and Inspection

    Combustion Fuel Injector Seal (1) - Install NEW

    Slide the fuel injector hold down clamp (2) into the grooves on the fuel injector (1) and install them together into the valve rocker arm cover ensuring that the fuel injector locating pin engages the fuel injector hold down clamp.

    Fuel Injector Washer (2) - Install

  5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  6. Fuel Injector Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten to 30 N.m (22 lb ft)

    Electrical Connector (1) @ Fuel Injector (2) - Connect

  8. NOTE:

    If applicable, perform the fuel filter life reset after replacing the fuel filter.

  9. Replace the fuel filter. Fuel Filter ReplacementΒ 
  10. Prime the fuel system. Fuel System PrimingΒ 
  11. With the engine running, check the fuel system for leaks.
  12. Fuel Injector Deadener - Install - Fuel Injector Deadener ReplacementΒ 
  13. Perform the fuel injection small quantity learn. Fuel Injection Small Quantity LearnΒ 
  14. Perform the fuel trim reset. Fuel Trim ResetΒ 
  15. Perform the high pressure fuel correction reset. High Pressure Fuel Correction ResetΒ 
  16. Perform the fuel injector flow rate programming. Fuel Injector Flow Rate ProgrammingΒ
