Voice Recognition
This radio has no built-in voice recognition, voice commands are dependent on the connected phone.
The push to talk button on the steering wheel controls will be inoperative when there are no phone devices paired with the vehicle, this is a normal characteristic and no repair attempt should be make. The push to talk button, however, can still answer OnStar Hands-free calls (if equipped). For the push to talk button to function a phone device must be Bluetooth connected and the native voice recognition app needs to be enabled (e.g. Siri or Google Assistant) on the connected device.
