Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and ConnectionΒ
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- { If equipped }Engine Oil Level Indicator Switch - Disconnect - Engine Oil Level Indicator Switch Replacement
Starter Heat Shield Fastener (1) - Remove [3x]
- Starter Heat Shield (2) - Remove
- NOTE:
Catalytic converter is removed for graphic clarity.
Starter Solenoid Cable Nut (2) @ Starter Solenoid (3) - Remove
- Starter Solenoid Cable (1) - Remove
Starter Mounting Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
- Reposition the starter (2) to access the electrical connector.
Electrical Connector (1) - Disconnect
- Starter (2) - Remove
