Preliminary Procedures

  1. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LT1) 
  2. An 8-digit part identification number is stamped on the throttle body casting. Refer to this number if servicing, or if a part replacement is required.
1 Throttle Body Bolt [4x]
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
10 N.m (89 lb in)
2 Throttle Body
CAUTION:

Handle the electronic throttle control components carefully. Use cleanliness in order to prevent damage. Do not drop the electronic throttle control components. Do not roughly handle the electronic throttle control components. Do not immerse the electronic throttle control components in cleaning solvents of any type.

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  2. Perform the throttle body idle air flow compensation reset. Throttle Body Idle Air Flow Compensation Reset 
NOTE:
  • In order to prevent possible contamination, cover or plug any opening when servicing the throttle body.
  • If re-installing the throttle body and cleaning is required, refer to Throttle Body Cleaning .
3 Throttle Body Seal
Procedure 
Install a NEW seal.
