Circuit/System Testing
2019 Chevrolet Blazer Premier, FWDSECTION Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition/Vehicle & All vehicle systems - Off
- Disconnect the electrical connector: X92 USB Receptacle X1
- Test for less than 10 ohms between the test points: Ground circuit terminal 3 & Ground
- If 10 ohms or greater
- Test for less than 2 ohms between the test points: Ground circuit terminal 3 & The other end of the circuit
- If 2 ohms or greater - Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 ohms - Repair the open/high resistance in the ground connection.
- Go to next step: If less than 10 ohms
- Verify a test lamp turns On between the test points: B+ circuit terminal 1 & Ground
- If the test lamp does not turn On
- Remove - Test Lamp
- Test for less than 2 ohms between the test points: B+ circuit terminal 1 & The other end of the circuit
- If 2 ohms or greater - Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 ohms - Verify the fuse is OK and there is voltage at the fuse.
- Go to next step: If the test lamp turns On
- Poor connections or damaged USB cables can cause intermittent or no operation of USB devices. Inspect connectors, terminals, and cables for damage and replace components as necessary. Ensure all USB inline connections and connections at components are fully seated and connector position retainers/locks are secure.
- If you detect any damage, replace the component.
- Go to next step: Visible Damage = None
- Replace the component: X92 USB Receptacle - Connect all electrical connectors.
- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode - Infotainment System State - ON
- Connect a compatible USB device to the X92 Auxiliary Audio Input USB port and attempt to play audio
- Verify audio is heard through the vehicles speakers while operating the USB device.
- If audio is not heard
- Replace the component: Universal Serial Bus Cable - Connect all electrical connectors.
- Connect a compatible USB device to the X92 Auxiliary Audio Input USB port and attempt to play audio
- Verify audio is heard through the vehicles speakers while operating the USB device.
- If audio is not heard
Replace the A11 Radio
- Go to next step: If audio is heard
- If audio is not heard
- All OK.
- Go to next step: If audio is heard
- All OK.
