WARNING:

When a lift gate hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  2. Release the strut clips.
  3. Ensure the clip is fully seated when rod is reinstalled. If clip cannot be fully seated, a new rod should be installed.
  4. Perform the necessary programming and setup procedure:Liftgate Calibration
