Component Testing
Liftgate Window Unlatch Switch
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the S141 Liftgate Window Unlatch Switch.
- Test for infinite resistance between the signal terminal 2 and the ground terminal 1 with the switch in the open position.
- If less than infinite resistance
Replace the S141 Liftgate Window Unlatch Switch.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- If less than infinite resistance
- Test for less than 3 Ω between the signal terminal 2 and the ground terminal 1 with the switch in the closed position.
- If 3 Ω or greater
Replace the S141 Liftgate Window Unlatch Switch.
- Go to next step: If less than 3 Ω
- If 3 Ω or greater
- All OK
Liftgate Window Latch
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the M33 Liftgate Window Latch Assembly.
- Install a 10 A fused jumper wire between the control terminal 1 and 12 V. Install a jumper wire between the ground terminal 2 and ground.
- Verify the M33 Liftgate Window Latch Assembly activates
- If the M33 Liftgate Window Latch Assembly does not activate.
Replace the M33 Liftgate Window Latch Assembly.
