  1. Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
  2. Verify DTC B290B 49 is not set.
    • If the DTC is setΒ 
    1. Program the control module: K60 Steering Column Lock Module
    2. Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
    3. Verify DTC B290B 49 is not set. If the DTC is set
      • If the DTC is set

        Replace the appropriate component: K187 Steering Column Friction Control Module

      • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
    4. All OK.
    • Go to next step: If the DTC is not setΒ 
  3. Verify no other DTCs are set.
    • If any other DTCs are set

      Refer to: Circuit/System Testing

    • Go to next step: If no other DTCs are set
  4. All OK.
