Component Testing

- Ignition/Vehicle - Off
- Disconnect the electrical connector: S58A Rear Compartment Lid Unlatch Switch - Exterior
- Test for infinite resistance between the test points: Signal terminal 1 & Ground terminal 2 - Not Pressed
- If less than infinite resistance
Replace the component: S58A Rear Compartment Lid Unlatch Switch - Exterior
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- If less than infinite resistance
- Test for less than 3 ohms between the test points: Signal terminal 1 & Ground terminal 2 - Pressed
- If 3 ohms or greater
Replace the component: S58A Rear Compartment Lid Unlatch Switch - Exterior
- Go to next step: If less than 3 ohms
- If 3 ohms or greater
- All OK.
