Rear Side Door Locking Rod Replacement (Sedan)

Preliminary Procedure 
Remove the rear side door lock. Refer to Rear Side Door Latch Replacement . Do Not remove the lock completely from the door, lower the lock to disconnect the rod.
1 Rear Side Door Lock Rod

Procedure

  1. Place the window in the full up position.
  2. Remove the water deflector.
  3. Transfer components as necessary.
  4. In order to prevent outside handle lever pre-load, lock, outside handle, handle bracket and cover/cap shall be fully secured to the door prior to securing integral lock clip to outside handle rod. Integral lock clip shall be in the full up position while securing to outside handle rod. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Rod Adjustment .

TIP:  Inspect the door lock system for proper operation before installing the door trim panel.
