- Verify that the transmitter is the correct transmitter for the vehicle.
- If not the correct transmitter, replace the transmitter.
- Remove the battery from the transmitter. Verify that the battery voltage is greater than 2.8V.
- If the voltage is less than 2.8V, replace the battery.
- Ignition ON, press each button on the transmitter. Verify that all of the scan tool Remote Command parameters change state when each button is pressed.
- If one or more of the parameters do not change state, replace the transmitter.
- If the transmitter functions normally, replace the BCM.
