Preliminary Procedure 
Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
1 Steering Knuckle Nut
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure 
Use the CH-42188-B  separator to separate the front upper control arm from the steering knuckle.
Tighten 
First Pass: 30 N.m (22 lb ft)
Final Pass: (115-125 degrees)
Special Tools 
CH-42188-B  Ball Joint Separator
2 Front Upper Control Arm Bolt [4x]
Tighten 
65 N.m (48 lb ft)
3 Front Upper Control Arm Washer [8x]
NOTE:
  • The front upper control arm washers MUST be installed in the same position as removed.
  • If a front upper control arm washer with a rubber insert is installed, the rubber insert MUST be against the frame rail.
  • Do NOT stack more than one front upper control arm washer with a rubber insert.
