Removal Procedure

2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, 2D Coupe, Standard TransSECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and ConnectionΒ .
  2. Remove the quarter lower rear trim. Refer to Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear compartment side trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side (Coupe) and Rear Compartment Side Trim Replacement - Right Side (Convertible) .
  4. Remove the passenger seat. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Removal and Installation .
  5. Remove the body lock pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Trim Panel Replacement (Coupe) and Body Lock Pillar Trim Panel Replacement (Convertible) .
  6. Remove the front side door sill garnish molding. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Garnish Molding Replacement .
  7. Remove the body control module (BCM) bracket fasteners. Refer to Body Control Module Bracket Replacement .
  8. Remove the radiator surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement .
  9. Remove the battery positive cable cover (3) and remove the battery positive cable fastener (2), from the rear cargo fuse block.

  10. Detach the battery positive cable (1) from the rear cargo fuse block.
  11. Remove the battery positive cable retainers (1) and remove the battery positive cable (2) from behind the frame supports.

  12. Remove the battery positive cable retainers (1) and move the battery positive cable (2) into the passenger compartment.

  13. Remove the battery positive retainers (1) along the passenger door sill plate.

  14. Detach the battery positive cable retainer (2) and remove the battery positive cable grommet (1), from the battery positive cable.

  15. Remove the accessory wiring junction block cover (1) and remove the battery positive cable fastener (2).

  16. Detach the battery positive cable retainer (4), from the floor panel extension and slide the battery positive cable through the dash panel plenum.
  17. Remove the battery positive cable from the passenger compartment.
