Procedure

  1. Remove the upper air cleaner housing and duct assembly.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  3. If the scan tool DPF Soot Mass is less than 30 grams, enable the DPF. Refer to Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Regeneration Enable .
  4. If the scan tool DPF Soot Mass is 30 grams or greater, refer to Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Service Regeneration .
  5. Perform the glow plug module programming and setup. Refer to Glow Plug Control Module Programming and Setup
