  1. Install the trailer brake power control module (1).

  3. Holding the trailer brake power control module nuts stationary, install the trailer brake power control module bolts (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  4. Connect the trailer brake power control module electrical connector.
  5. Raise and secure the spare tire and wheel assembly.
  6. Program the trailer brake power control module. Refer to Trailer Brake Power Module Programming and Setup .
