Circuit/System Testing (Object Detection And Pedestrian Protection System)
Manual Transmission
- Engine running, transmission in REVERSE.
- Verify the scan tool Calculated Transmission Range parameter is Reverse.
- If parameter is not Reverse
Refer to Backup Lamps Malfunction .
- If parameter is Reverse
- If parameter is not Reverse
- Verify the scan tool Park Assist System Status parameter displays Enable.
- If status is not Enable
Refer to Diagnostic Aids and the scan tool Park Assist Disable History parameters to determine the cause of the inhibit.
NOTE:After completing the next step the vehicle might need to be driven in the forward direction at speed greater than 40 km/h (25 mph).
- If status is Enable
- If status is not Enable
- Replace the K41R Rear Parking Assist Control Module.
Automatic Transmission
- Engine running, transmission in REVERSE.
- Verify the scan tool Park Assist System Status parameter displays Enable.
- If status is not Enable
Refer to Diagnostic Aids and the scan tool Park Assist Disable History parameters to determine the cause of the inhibit.
NOTE:After completing the next step the vehicle might need to be driven in the forward direction at speed greater than 40 km/h (25 mph).
- If status is Enable
- If status is not Enable
- Replace the K41R Rear Parking Assist Control Module.
