Removal Procedure

Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection . - Remove the charge air cooler outlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement .
- Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the intake air heater (IAH).
- Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) from the intake air valve.
- Remove the nut and the positive battery cable from the IAH.
- Remove the throttle body assembly. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement .
- Remove the IAH and remove and discard the IAH gasket.
