Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Reposition the transmission cooler lines. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement (4L60-E/4L65-E/4L70-E) , Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement (6L90 MYD) .

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten

2 Engine Harness Starter Solenoid Nut
Tighten 
3.4 N.m (30 lb in)
3 Engine Harness
4 Battery Positive Cable
5 Starter Bolts (Qty: 2)
Tighten 
78 N.m (58 lb ft)
