Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the front driver side wheelhouse panel liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Z28)Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (ZL1)Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Without ZL1, Z28) .
  2. Disconnect the windshield washer pump electrical connector.

TIP:  Disconnect the washer pump hose from the washer pump spout.

Procedure

  1. Place a clean suitable drain pan under the washer container in order to contain the windshield washer solvent.
  2. Using two medium sized flat-bladed tools, place the tools under the washer pump and pry upward, releasing the washer pump from the washer container filter grommet.
  3. Remove the washer pump filter grommet and discard.

TIP:  Install a new washer pump filter grommet upon replacement of the washer pump.
