This diagnostic applies to internal microprocessor integrity conditions within the hybrid powertrain control module. The hybrid powertrain control module is internal to the drive motor generator power inverter module, and is not serviced separately. The hybrid powertrain control module and each motor control module utilize a programmable logic device to perform certain input and output functions. The hybrid powertrain control module monitors the ability of the programmable logic device to perform these functions.
