Front Compartment Fuse Block Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
2. Remove the front compartment fuse block cover (1).
3. Remove the positive battery cable cover.
4. Remove the positive battery cable at the front compartment junction block.
5. Remove the electrical steering wiring harness (1) if equipped.
6. Loosen the junction block bolts (1)
7. Unclip the front compartment fuse block from the front compartment fuse block housing.
8. Disconnect the positive battery cable (1).
9. Remove the electrical connectors from the front compartment fuse block housing.
10. Remove the windshield washer solvent container filler tube. Refer to Windshield Washer Solvent Container Filler Tube Replacement Windshield Washer Solvent Container Filler Tube Replacement.
11. Disconnect the wiring harness from the junction block base.
12. Remove the junction block nut (1) from the block base.
13. Remove the junction block base (2) from the inner wheelhouse.
Installation Procedure
1. Connect the wiring harness to the junction block base.
2. Position the junction block base (2) to the inner wheelhouse stud.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.
3. Install the junction block base nut (1) and tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).
4. Install the electrical connectors to the front compartment fuse block housing.
5. Install the junction block to the base.
6. Install the junction block bolts (1) and tighten to 7 Nm (63 lb in).
7. Position the positive battery cable to the junction block.
8. Install the positive battery cable nut (1) and tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb in).
9. Install the electrical steering wiring harness (1).
10. Install both front compartment fuse block covers (1, 2).
11. Install the windshield washer solvent container filler tube. Refer to Windshield Washer Solvent Container Filler Tube Replacement Windshield Washer Solvent Container Filler Tube Replacement.
12. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
