Circuit/System Testing
2013 Chevrolet Equinox LS, AWD, GasSECTION Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF. It may take up to 2 minutes for all vehicle systems to power down
- Disconnect the harness connector at the P22E Video Display- Driver Seatback.
- Test for less than 25 Ω between the audio signal (-) circuit terminal 5 and ground.
- If 25 Ω or greater
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X1 connector at the A11 Radio.
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the signal circuit end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 Ω, replace the A11 Radio.
- If less than 25 Ω
- Ignition ON, radio ON, DVD playing with audio present.
- Test for a varying voltage from 10 mV-250 mV AC between the audio signal (+) circuits listed below and ground:
- terminal 6
- terminal 7
- If not between 10 mV-250 mV AC and/or not varying
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X1 harness connector at the A11 Radio.
- Ignition ON.
- Test for less than 1 V between the signal circuit and ground.
- If 1 V or greater, repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- If less than 1 V
- Ignition OFF.
- Test for infinite resistance between the signal circuit and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- If infinite resistance
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the signal circuit end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 Ω, replace the A11 Radio.
- If varying from 10 mV-250 mV AC
- Test or replace the P22E Video Display- Driver Seatback.
