Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the air inlet screen. Refer to Air Inlet Screen Replacement (Terrain) , Air Inlet Screen Replacement (Equinox) .
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector to the windshield wiper motor.
1 Windshield Wiper Motor Transmission Bolt (Qty: 3)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
9 N.m (80 lb in)
2 Windshield Wiper Motor Transmission

Procedure

  1. Transfer the windshield wiper motor to the transmission assembly. Refer to Windshield Wiper Motor Replacement (Equinox Terrain) .
  2. Position the transmission assembly into the plenum upper panel.
  3. Secure the transmission to outer fender flange bolt first, followed with the other two transmission bolts.
