  1. Remove the front side door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the front side door water deflector.
  3. Use a flat-head tool to open the clip from the threaded rod connecting the lock to the outside handle.
  4. NOTE:

    The rear window channel blocks access to the rod clip. Removing the two bolts from the rear run channel enough to undo clip.

  5. Adjust the travel of the handle by removing the threaded rod from the clip.
