Removal Procedure

2013 Chevrolet Corvette Base, 2D Convertible, Standard Trans, Trans Mfr CD 6L85M/MM6SECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  3. Loosen the upper ball joint nut.

  5. Install the J-42188-BΒ  Ball Joint Separator to the steering knuckle.
  6. Using the J-42188-BΒ  Ball Joint Separator (1), separate the upper ball joint from the steering knuckle.
  7. Remove the upper ball joint nut.
  8. Support the steering knuckle and disconnect the upper ball joint from the steering knuckle.

  10. Remove the upper control arm bolts (1).
