Removal Procedure

- Remove the steering shaft upper bearing spring. Refer to Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Steering Shaft Upper Bearing Spring Replacement (Manual)Β , Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Steering Shaft Upper Bearing Spring Replacement (Telescoping)Β .
- Remove the turn signal and headlamp dimmer switch assembly. Refer to Turn Signal Multifunction Switch ReplacementΒ .
- Remove the windshield wiper and windshield washer switch from the steering column. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement .
- Remove the two screws (1) securing the steering column lock (2) to the steering column.
- Remove the steering column electric lock (2) from the steering column.
