Removal Procedure

2013 Chevrolet Corvette Base, 2D Convertible, Standard Trans, Trans Mfr CD 6L85M/MM6SECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the steering shaft upper bearing spring. Refer to Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Steering Shaft Upper Bearing Spring Replacement (Manual)Β , Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Steering Shaft Upper Bearing Spring Replacement (Telescoping)Β .
  2. Remove the turn signal and headlamp dimmer switch assembly. Refer to Turn Signal Multifunction Switch ReplacementΒ .
  3. Remove the windshield wiper and windshield washer switch from the steering column. Refer to Windshield Wiper and Washer Switch Replacement .
  4. Fig 1: Steering Column Lock

  5. Remove the two screws (1) securing the steering column lock (2) to the steering column.
  6. Remove the steering column electric lock (2) from the steering column.
