Removal Procedure

- Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.
- Place shop towels below the reservoir and around the belt to prevent power steering fluid from contaminating the belt.
- Remove the capstick (1) from the remote power steering fluid reservoir (2) and remove as much power steering fluid as possible.
- Release the clamp on the reservoir side of the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose.
- Remove the remote power steering fluid reservoir (2) from the remote power steering fluid reservoir bracket (5) while disengaging the power steering fluid reservoir outlet hose from the reservoir.
- Remove the power steering return hose from the remote power steering fluid reservoir (2). Refer to Power Steering Return Hose Replacement (LS3, LS7)Β .
- Remove the remote power steering fluid reservoir (2) from the vehicle.
