Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LS7 or LS9) , Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LS3)  .
  2. If equipped with a manual transmission, remove the bell housing cover. Refer to Clutch Assembly Replacement (LS3/LS7) , Clutch Assembly Replacement (LS9) .
1 Nut
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
8 N.m (71 lb in)
2 Bolt (Qty: 2)
Tighten 
50 N.m (37 lb ft)
3 Starter

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the S terminal harness connector from the starter.
  2. Orient the B+ terminal Harness anti rotation tab to the starter orientation slot.
  3. Remove the B+ terminal harness from the starter.
