2011 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ, 2.4 1SECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge tube from the intake manifold. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  3. Reposition the EVAP canister purge tube (1) out of the way.

  5. Disconnect the fuel injector wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.

  7. Remove the fuel injector wiring harness clips (1) from the fuel rail tabs.
  8. Disconnect the fuel injector wiring harness electrical connector (2) from the number 3 fuel injector.

  10. Squeeze tabs and slide the MAP sensor (1) upward.
