2011 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ, 2.4 1SECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LE5, LE9, LY7) .
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the knock sensor pigtail electrical connector (6).
  4. Remove the knock sensor electrical connector pigtail (6) clip from the oil level indicator tube bracket.

  6. Remove the knock sensor bolt.
  7. Remove the knock sensor.
