  1. Remove the rear door trim panel, right side. Refer to Rear Door Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side (E24)
  2. Remove the rear door outside handle and license pocket (1). Refer to Rear Door Outside Handle and License Pocket Replacement .
  3. Remove the seal for the cylinder (2).
  4. Remove the clip that retains the lock cylinder lever (4) to the lock cylinder (3).
  5. Remove the lock cylinder (3) from the handle.
  6. Remove the lock cylinder (3) from the vehicle.
