SERVICE INFORMATION
Investigation into broken battery B+ terminal covers has found that they have broken as result of incorrect removal.
Please follow the procedure below when removing battery terminal covers.
- Dislodge the two cover clips (reference number 1 & 2 in figure 1) from their holders by pulling them outward in the directions shown below. Do not force the cover upward until these clips are dislodged.
- Remove the cover by pulling it upwards
NOTE:
Never lift from one side or one corner and lever it off or the cover will break.
