Installation Procedure
2010 Chevrolet Chevy Express G3500, Van Passenger ExtendedSECTION Installation Procedure
- Install the cable to the vehicle.
- Install the park brake cable (2) to the lever (1).
- Perform the following procedure to install the cable (2) to the backing plate (4).
- Compress the spring (3) by pushing toward the lever (1).
- Route the cable (2) through the slot in the backing plate.
- Push the cable housing into the backing plate (4) until the locking tabs snap into place.
- Pass the cable through the cable guides on the frame.
- For cutaway vehicles only, install the cable to the mounting bracket until the locking tabs snap into place.
- Connect cable at the equalizer.
- Remove the safety stands.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Enable the park brake cable automatic adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster EnablingΒ .
- Adjust the park brake cable. Refer to Parking Brake Adjustment (Without Dual Rear Wheel)Β or Parking Brake Adjustment (With Dual Rear Wheel)Β .
