Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
1 Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module
Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement .
2 Steering Wheel Nut
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  40 N.m (30 lb ft)

3 Steering Wheel
Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
4 Steering Column Lower Shroud Cover
5 Steering Column Upper Shroud Bolt

Tighten:  3.5 N.m (31 lb in)

6 Steering Column Lower Shroud Screw

Tighten:  1.5 N.m (13 lb in)

7 Steering Column Lower Shroud
Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
8 Steering Column Upper Shroud Screw

Tighten:  3.5 N.m (31 lb in)

9 Steering Column Upper Shroud
Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
10 Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Screw

Tighten:  2.5 N.m (22 lb in)

11 Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil
Tip:  Center the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Centering .
