Circuit/System Testing
2009 Chevrolet Uplander LT, 3.9 MSECTION Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X1 harness connector at the appropriate door contact plate.
- Test for less than 1 ohm between the ground circuit terminal D and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Connect a test lamp between the control circuit terminal G and ground.
- Ignition ON, command the sliding door unlatch actuator to UNLATCH with a scan tool. The test lamp should illuminate while commanding the UNLATCH state.
- If the test lamp is always ON, test the control circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal replace the PSDM.
- If the test lamp is always OFF, test the control circuit for a short to ground or and open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the PSDM.
- Ignition OFF, reconnect the harness connector X1 at the door contact plate. Close the sliding door and disconnect the harness connector at sliding door unlatch actuator.
- Test for less than 1.0 ohm between the ground circuit terminal A and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the door contact plate.
- Connect a test lamp between the control circuit terminal B and ground.
- Ignition ON, command the sliding door unlatch actuator to UNLATCH with a scan tool. The test lamp illuminate while commanding the UNLATCH state.
- If the test lamp is always ON, test the control circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the door contact plate.
- If the test lamp is always OFF, test the control circuit for a short to ground or and open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the door contact plate.
- If all circuits test normal, test or replace the sliding door unlatch actuator.
