Removal Procedure

2009 Chevrolet Uplander LT, 3.9 MSECTION Removal Procedure
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
  3. Remove the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder ReplacementΒ .
  4. Remove the theft deterrent module from the lock cylinder housing. Refer to Theft Deterrent Module Replacement .

  6. Remove the screws (2) from the ignition switch (1).
  7. Remove the ignition switch (1) from the ignition lock cylinder case.
  8. Disconnect the ignition switch electrical connector.
