2009 Chevrolet Tahoe Base, 4.8 CSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the gasket.
  2. Install the booster assembly.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the 4 booster to bulkhead nuts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nuts to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).

  5. Install the stop lamp switch. Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Replacement (Adjustable Pedal) or Stop Lamp Switch Replacement (Non-Adjustable Pedal) in Lighting Systems.
  6. Install the master cylinder to the brake booster.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nuts to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).

  7. Connect the return hose, the steering gear, and the inlet hoses.
  8. Bleed the hydraulic booster system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding in Power Steering System.
  9. Release the park brake and unblock the wheels.
