2009 Chevrolet Tahoe Base, 4.8 CSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the upper fan shroud. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (Mechanical)Β .
  2. Install the J-48460Β  Fan Clutch Remover and Installer Kit (1).
  3. Install the J 41240-5AΒ  Fan Clutch Wrench (2).

  5. Remove the fan hub nut from the water pump in a counterclockwise rotation.

  7. Remove the fan clutch bolts from the rear of the fan blade.
  8. Separate the fan clutch from the fan blade.
