2008 Chevrolet Uplander LT, 3.9 1SECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front lower rocker panel to wheelhouse molding screw.
  2. Open the doors in order to access the upper molding retainers.
  3. Use the J 38778Β  in order to remove the push-in retainers at the bottom edge of the rocker molding. See Special ToolsΒ .
  4. Using the J 38778Β  , remove the retainers at the top edge of the rocker panel molding. See Special ToolsΒ .

  6. Remove the rocker panel molding from the vehicle.
  7. Clean the body panel using a 50/50 mixture by volume of isopropyl alcohol and water.
  8. Dry the surface thoroughly before applying the new molding.
