2008 Chevrolet HHR LT, 2.4 P, AutomaticSECTION Connect Procedure

NOTE:

Clean any existing oxidation from the contact face of the battery terminal and battery cable using a wire brush before installing the battery cable to the battery terminal.

  1. Install the negative battery cable to the battery.
  2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Tighten the negative battery cable nut (1).

    TightenΒ 

    Tighten the nut to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

  4. Install the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement .
  5. Install the rear floor trim plate. Refer to Rear Floor Trim Plate Replacement .
  6. Reset the radio stations and the clock.
