  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X204 harness connector at the turn signal/multifunction switch.
  2. Ignition OFF, disconnect the run/crank relay, install a 20 A fused jumper wire between terminals 30 and 87 in the underhood fuse block.
  3. Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the B+ circuit terminal A8 and ground.
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
  4. Ignition OFF, test for less than 2.5-3.0k Ξ© between terminal B8 and ground.
    • If less that the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal replace the ECM.
    • If greater that the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the ECM.
  5. If all circuits test normal, replace the turn signal/multifunction switch.
