- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Remove the wheel hub and bearing assembly. Refer to Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement .
- Remove the front brake shield.
- Remove any debris or corrosion from the front brake shield, wheel hub and steering knuckle mating surfaces.
